Supa Group have an internal team of council liaisons who can ensure all our permits are in order. We’ve worked with the Yarra City Council on several construction projects before and know how to develop designs that fit within their regulations. You will need planning and building permits for home extensions and renovations. You can apply for these permits through the Yarra City Council, which oversees Fitzroy North.
But the easiest way to get permits is by letting us do it for you. Our internal team specialises in getting our plans approved by local councils.
You may continue to live at home as long as the essential amenities are safely accessible — namely, your bedroom, bathroom and kitchen.
Before construction, we’ll give you a detailed construction plan and schedule so that you know if and when you’ll need to find temporary accommodation and when you can return.
Absolutely. If you have specialists you’d like us to bring on, please do let us know, and we’ll happily hire them. We will need them to provide the appropriate insurance and OH&S credentials. They’ll also be required to work to our schedule so that we can meet the completion date that you expect.
Yes, you can add extensions and even renovate period and heritage-listed homes in Fitzroy North. Yarra City Council has strict regulations for such works: they require all modifications to respect the existing structure's architectural style and historical significance.
If your Fitzroy North home is heritage listed, we’ll consider all council regulations during the design process to maximise our chances of council approval.
