North Balwyn is a great suburb of Melbourne. Skyhooks made Balwyn famous with the song Balwyn Calling, but North Balwyn is notable for its great homes and gardens, proximity to the Eastern Freeway and Yarra River environs.

Williamstown has a strong naval tradition including the naming of one its earliest streets after Vice Admiral Lord Nelson.
Reservoir is an established suburb just 12kms north of the city & it runs East West between the Merri and Darebin Creeks with the northern boundary being Mahoney’s Road and the Southern Boundary near Tyler and Regent Street.
The original survey of the area by Robert Hoddle named the parish Boroondara, an aboriginal name meaning place of shade, which is truly apt even now as Camberwell is well known for its glorious tree canopy and its street trees are a credit to the Boroondara Council.
The house, located in Crown Road, Ivanhoe (with the area specifically known to the local’s as “Fairy Hills”) is the former home of artist Napier Waller and is now owned by Banyule Council.
Art Deco was an eclectic mix of styles referencing Cubism, Art Nouveau, Modernism and Futurism.
Collingwood, Abbotsford, Richmond and South Melbourne more typically had timber terraces and were even more working class! Blocks of terrace homes made way for the housing commission flats in these areas on the late 1950’s.
