Whether you need a planning permit for your construction project will depend on various property development factors. However, if you plan to extend, renovate, subdivide, or undertake significant building works, you will need a building permit from a licenced building surveyor.
Planning permits ensure that your proposed building and development work follows government construction guidelines. In addition, the Knox City Council will assess the impact your construction work may have on neighbouring land, your site and the environment.
Supa Group handle all aspects of obtaining a Knox Planning Permit so you don't need to worry.
There is a standard residential fee of $123.70 (excluding GST) and an additional online application fee of $750. Beyond this baseline, other categories incur fees that need to be paid depending on the construction work and development proposed. The good news is that Supa Group include the cost of any planning and permit applications in our fixed price.
Most building works require a building permit from a licensed building surveyor before work commences. There are several key stages to the application process, including compiling paperwork such as engineering and energy assessments and submitting working drawings. As your fully registered master builders, we will manage all stages of this process efficiently and competently.
