We’ve changed the way we work to protect the health and well-being of our community
Like you, our team at Supa Group has been monitoring the latest updates from the Federal and State Governments about COVID-19. We value the health and well-being of our community and are taking every precaution possible to keep people safe. The Housing Industry Association (HIA) and Master Builders Association of Victoria (MBAV) have developed strict guidelines for all construction sites, and we are adhering to them.
We want to reassure you that Supa Group is still open and working at full capacity. All of our resources and teams are operational, and we’re still delivering home extensions for our customers. That includes new customers; we’re still offering free consultations, and breaking ground on new projects — carefully.
The way we’re doing business has changed, but the quality results are the same. We have implemented new arrangements in the sales, contract administration and construction phases, like remote meetings, virtual reality plans that you can view from home, and strict on-site hygiene control. These steps protect our customers and our team and allow us to keep on working through these challenging times. Read on to find out more about the innovative techniques and technologies we have introduced.
During the COVID-19 crisis, our experienced team is still providing reliable and affordable services, with new measures to ensure that everybody stays safe. Whether it’s a home renovation, or a first or second story extension, we can still get the job done from start to finish.
Get the ball rolling with an online consultation session
Our process begins with a free design consultation. In the past, this was usually a face to face meeting between potential clients and our design team. Presently, we’re asking that clients work with us to move these meetings online.
Using video or teleconferencing, we can still discuss your plans, goals, and budget. We can still appraise your home’s existing condition, and tell you what’s possible in a renovation. And we will still use our 3D Design Service to show you what the interior and exterior of your home will look when the work is finished. Using this technology, we can take you on a virtual tour of your dream home.
Any meetings that cannot be conducted via video or teleconferencing will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, and we will work towards facilitating the best option possible. If you currently have an in-person meeting scheduled with our design or building team, we will be contacting you to organise a suitable alternative.
Where possible, our team is now working from home
Our team is finding new ways to adapt to the new work environment. We’ve taken on expert advice, and implemented safe distancing, and other anti-viral measures.
For example, our office staff have transitioned to work from home, and they’re proceeding with their tasks as though it was business as usual – even though it’s not. That means you can still get in contact with us, and we can still answer any questions you might have about a project.
We’ve changed the way we work on site
Out on the worksite, we have put stringent new steps in place. With common sense and strict adherence to social distancing guidelines, there’s no need to down tools on your project.
In compliance with government guidelines and in accordance with guidelines developed by the HIA and MBAV, our building teams have implemented new health and safety measures to stop the spread of COVID-19. For example, we have:
- – tightened the scheduling of trades
- – minimised the numbers of workers on site
- – separated work and client inhabited areas
- – brought in new, hygienic practices
You can still live in your home while the builders are renovating
We always strive to accommodate our customer’s needs, and that includes letting them live in their homes while we’re carrying out renovations and extensions. That hasn’t changed during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we have set some new rules to stop the spread of the virus. First, we ask that you notify us immediately if you are aware of any possible infection at your home. For example, please tell us if anybody:
- – has been in contact with a confirmed case
- – is currently being quarantined after travelling from overseas
- – is suffering from flu like symptoms
Additionally, where works are taking place, we ask that you implement all government-established cautionary initiatives. As with everything at the moment, we all need to look out and care for each other.
Business is moving forward at Supa Group. We are taking on new projects and finishing existing work with the same diligence and craftsmanship as usual. Check out our website to find out more about our team, and the services we are continuing to provide.
