A 1980’s brick house has been transformed into a modern light filled architectural delight that focuses on family entertaining while still offering great street appeal.
The brief was to create an open plan format that would remove the ‘boxy’ element of the house and improve layout, light and overall aesthetics. To achieve this a large section of wall was removed and a new engineered beam was installed.

A beautiful L shaped kitchen and island bench incorporating the glamour and warmth of light birch became the hero of the room; complimented by a Butler’s Pantry.
From the organic look of natural Bluestone tiled floor to the panelled triangular windows above the sliding doors, meticulous attention to detail resonates throughout this home.
The existing first floor was fully renovated and parents were not overlooked with a large WIR / dressing room and new en suite added to the master bedroom.
The ultimate ‘must have’ was a laundry chute built into the bathroom vanity. This low tech amenity required careful planning due to the angle of the chute. To complete the functionality of the newly renovated laundry a large designated drying and storage room was created, ideal for rainy days.
