If you are adding significant additions to your Bulleen property, you must obtain a permit issued by a registered building practitioner. This is the last step in the process before construction commences. If you are adding elements such as flood overlays or strata tiles, council approval is also needed. This is called planning permission.
Normally, our clients can stay in their homes while the extensions or home renovations proceed. However, if we cannot grant you safe access to important areas of the home, such as the kitchen or bathroom, you may need to find temporary accommodation elsewhere.
If you have worked with fully-insured contractors in the past, let us know. We are always looking to collaborate with other building specialists across Melbourne. Before getting them started on updating existing homes, we’ll ensure they meet our safety standards, provide the correct insurance and OH&S credentials, and agree to meet all deadlines for the build.
