Yes. To complete significant extensions on your Bundoora home, you will need to obtain a building permit issued by the registered building surveyor. This is the last step in the process before construction commences. In some cases, if you are adding strata tiles or heritage overlays to your property, you will need approval from your local council. This is called planning permission.
In most cases, it is fine for you to remain in your home while we work. However, if we cannot grant you safe access to areas of your home, such as the kitchen, bedroom or toilet, you will need to find temporary accommodation. We will plan carefully to ensure you are not inconvenienced during the build or house renovations.
We’re happy to collaborate with any of the specialists you choose. However, they must meet our safety standards and provide the necessary insurance and OH&S credentials.
