Yes, if you want to add significant home extensions to your property, you must obtain a permit from the registered building surveyor. This is the final step in the process before we can commence construction. In some instances planning permission may be required from council prior to the issuing of the building permit.
By agreement, clients often stay in their homes while we are extending. However, if we cannot grant you safe access to important areas of the home, such as the kitchen or bathroom, you may need to find temporary accommodation elsewhere.
