Yes. To add home extensions to your property, you must first obtain a permit issued by the registered building surveyor. This is the last step in the process before construction begins. In some cases, if you’re adding features such as flood overlays or strata tiles to your home, you will need to get any changes approved by the local council. This is called planning permission.
Usually, you can remain in your house while we build your home extensions. However, suppose you are adding significant extensions to your property, which means we cannot grant you safe access to the kitchen, main bedroom or bathroom. In that case, you will need to find temporary accommodation instead. We will try our best to cause the least inconvenience possible.
