Brighton was one of Melbourne’s earliest suburbs being Victoria’s first beach holiday location of choice. It has many examples of 1850’s Victorian architecture on large blocks. It is one of those trophy suburbs sought after by Melbourne’s rich and famous. It’s also home to a fair array of private beach boxes that sell for as much as some houses in the less well to do suburbs.
Beaumaris also has a beachy tea-treey feel has a reputation for mid century modern architecture and it certainly has that relaxing feel whenever you visit it."
