Yes. You must obtain a permit issued by the registered building surveyor for significant home extension projects. This is the last step in the process before construction begins. In some cases, if you are adding floor overlays or strata floor tiles to your property, you will need to obtain council approval. This is called planning permission.
Normally, clients can stay in their properties while we complete your home renovation or extension project. However, if we cannot grant you safe access to areas of the home, such as the kitchen or bathroom, you will need to find temporary accommodation.
