Professional small builder/renovator
Any good home extension or renovation needs to balance form and function. The final design needs to provide space, light and flow, but it also needs to blend seamlessly into the existing architecture. With 45 years of experience, Supa Group’s design and construction teams specialise in finding that delicate balance between the pleasing and the practical.
Whether your Blackburn home needs a refreshing bathroom renovation or an entirely new second storey, we’ll get it done. With a certified Victorian Master Builder by your side, anything is possible.
No matter how minor your house extension ideas may be, nothing moves forward without the proper city council permits. But you can leave that to us.
Supa Group offer more than just the premier builders in Blackburn — we have an in-house team of liaisons who will apply for all the necessary council permits on your behalf. While we take care of the approvals, you can work with our design team to explore ideas.

Yes, they are. Blackburn is in the Whitehorse City Council, which has clear regulations around when you need permits. Depending on the scale of the work, you will need planning and building permits to construct extensions to your Blackburn home.
Supa Group’s in-house team are more than happy to apply for council permits and permissions on your behalf.
Yes, you can. You may continue to live in your home as long as you have safe access to your bathroom, kitchen and bedroom. Depending on the work we need to do, one or more of these essential spaces might become temporarily inaccessible. In that case, you will need to make alternative living arrangements. This won’t come as a surprise; our schedule will make it clear exactly when you’ll need to leave and when you can return.
Of course, Supa Group will happily work with any contractors you choose to work on your home. However, they must meet our OH&S and insurance standards, and must also commit to keeping to our construction schedule so that we can meet our agreed-upon completion date.
Yes, although there are stricter regulations to be met. As with most other councils, Whitehorse Council demands that any extensions or renovations done to Blackburn’s heritage-listed homes respect the architectural integrity and history of the original structure. Supa Group’s team will ensure our designs blend seamlessly into your heritage home.
