These keen gardeners wanted to create an extension that provided light filled and relaxed entertaining spaces where they could sit back and enjoy their beautiful garden.
Bigger dining, family room and changed orientation of master bedroom and ensuite to allow for a north facing alfresco
A previous extension consisting of a master bedroom, en suite and south facing outdoor area had been added to this classic weatherboard house by the previous owners. The master bedroom was awkwardly placed past the meals area almost as an afterthought disrupting the natural flow between spaces. Flanking the new bedroom, the outdoor area not only had restricted access to natural light but dampened the client’s enjoyment of their garden.
After a meeting with one of our experienced Design Consultants, a decision was made to demolish the master bedroom and south facing decking area.
Supa Group designed a Ground floor extension featuring large French doors with highlight windows opening from the kitchen meals area onto an expansive north facing deck to capture the morning sun.
The family room was extended another 4.5 metres connecting the new master bedroom via a beautiful straight hallway where French doors and double hung windows with highlights were repeatedly used maximising on the northerly aspect. A cleverly designed WIR preceded the bedroom working as a natural sound barrier between the bedroom and family room.
