Yarraville
The clients had a clear and defined idea of the extension design that would suit their lifestyle needs. Following a consultation with one of our Senior Design Consultants, a contemporary approach was taken to the extension of this traditional house. The design brief involved transforming the facade and then adding a contemporary ground and first floor extension featuring a void between the two levels. A dynamic relationship ensued between the old and new resulting in a construction that was not only functional but visually impressive.
Retaining the original warmth and character of this traditional home was one of the vital criteria which informed the planning and concept stage. Respectful transformation of the post war façade into a beautiful Californian bungalow inspired design resulted. With its new front porch and covered area, clients could sit back and watch the world pass by.
